Eucharistic Visitors

 

The ministry of the Eucharistic Visitor is to take the blessed sacraments to members of our parish who are unable to attend Sunday worship service. This year David Hume, Paula Nightengale, Lissa Qualls, Jean Snyder and Mike Ingle volunteered as EVs throughout the year, aided and supported by Father Steve.

We have tried to bring Holy Communion to each shut-in once a month. It should be noted that the incidence of parishioners needing our ministry has steadily increased, while the number of EVs has not. If more members of St. Matthew’s do not offer to become EVs, our capability to carry out this ministry as we have done it in past years may be compromised.
