Social Gatherings

 

Sunday Coffee Fellowship is held Sunday mornings following the 10:30 Eucharist, when we have a host. Park Avenue Thrift hosted a special Easter Sunday gathering on March 23rd. An Easter Egg hunt was also held.

Our first congregational gathering of 2009 was the Epiphany Party with Greek food and fun. The Annual Meeting held on January 24th with a Potluck Lunch.

The men of St. Matthew’s served pancakes on Shrove Tuesday – February 24th.

On May 31st the Pentecost Picnic was held on the parking lot with all the picnic accompaniments.

Father’s Day was also a day to welcome back the Rev. Mary Lou Mannschreck, as Supply Priest and honoree at a special reception.

St. Matthew’s Day, September 20th, celebrated the 100th anniversary of the building and the annual Bishop’s Visitation and reception.

St. Francis Day activities concluded with a family night with “Critter Tails.”

November 1st, we gathered to celebrate Fr. Steve’s return from his graduation at Nashotah House where he received his D. Min. degree. This was also our All Saints’ Day gathering.

The next family night activity was St. Nick’s Night, December 6th.

A special Advent Lessons and Carols, presented by the Oklahoma City Master Chorale was held on December 13th with a wine and cheese reception hosted by Park Avenue Thrift.

The Christmas Eve Reception was held until the wee hours of the morning on December 25th.
